WobbleIsland.com is a full-featured social network for "seasoned" folks to tell stories, share vacation adventures, swap favorite recipes, and most importantly, discuss politics and current events. Because as we all know, no matter how friendly a social gathering begins, the conversation will almost always digress into a spirited political discussion.

But there's also a humorous side. We like to make light of politicians, celebrities, each other, and ourselves. We also believe in an even-handed managerial approach - we smile politely at our civil servant employees while we tell them how it's really going to be.

So, how did we come up with the site name WobbleIsland.com?

Wobble Island is a little recreational spot on a lake in northeastern North Carolina, USA. The people are friendly, the libations flow, the food is excellent, and everyone has a joke or a story to tell. Sanity is maintained around the kids, but the big people can get a little "edgy" when left to their own devices. And resist as we may, politics and current events almost always enter the fray.

In the spirit of the island, the site promotes living life as happy and hassle free as possible. We believe in living above the nonsense of the nanny state.
